West Pitch Park

 

West Pitch Park is located up a small hill behind the falls in Auburn.  It overlooks the Great Falls - you can see down to the Longley Bridge and up river to several smaller dams, giving a good sense of the magnitude of the original project harnessing power for all those mills.

At the entrance to the park is the historical Knight House built in 1796.  The Knight House is the oldest frame-house near Lewiston Falls and Auburn Village Corporation.
