Where can I find a list of programs and special events that are offered through the Rec. Department?

How do I register for a specific program?

There are 3 easy ways to register for a program.

  1. Create an account and register at: https://secure.rec1.com/ME/auburn-me/catalog
  2. Call the Recreation office at 333.6601 ext. 2112 and we can assist you over the phone.
  3. Or stop by the Recreation office at 48 Pettengill Park Road and we can sign you up in person (please create your account before stopping by).
What outdoor recreation opportunities does the city offer?

How do I go about reserving a field or facility through the Rec. Department?
  • Hasty Community Center Gymnasium and Auburn Senior Community Center reservations, contact Heath by emailing him or calling 207.333.6601 ext. 2106. 
  • Any field reservations, contact Jeremy Gatcomb by emailing him or calling 207.333.6601 ext. 2100.
  • All other reservations, contact the recreation department at 207.333.6601 ext. 2112 or by email. 
How do I find out about a program cancellation or postponement?

If a program or event is postponed or cancelled, notification will be posted on the Auburn Recreation Facebook page. If you or your child is on a program roster, you will also be notified of any changes by your coach or program supervisor via email or phone.

Refunds: If we cancel a class or special event, all fees will be refunded. If you withdraw 3 business days before the first class or one-time event (excluding weekends and holidays), you will receive a full refund. If you withdraw fewer than 3 business days before the first class or one-time event, you will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given if you cancel after the class, or if the one-time event has taken place. If you are dissatisfied with a program after the first class of a session, you must let us know before the second class of the session. We will issue a 50% refund at this time. No refunds will be given after the second class of a session. Refunds take about 14-21 days to process. We do not provide cash refunds, if you paid with cash, a check will be mailed to you. If an injury occurs to a participant that prevents the participant from continuing in a class, you may request a pro-rated refund of the activity fee.
