Not only does the Auburn Fire Department respond to fires, we also save lives by providing emergency medical services (EMS). The Auburn Fire 
Department has Paramedics, Advanced Level EMTs as well as Entry Level EMTs on staff. All of our employees are cross-trained as firefighters AND certified EMS providers.
On October 14, 2014, the Auburn Fire Department assumed responsibility for the provision of emergency ambulance transportation in the City of Auburn and for the provision of emergency ambulance transportation for its mutual aid partners at their request.
This department enhancement provides a quality ambulance service solely dedicated to serving the citizens of Auburn and all those who may be in need of emergency ambulance service within the city.
This service, as with all emergency services in Auburn, is accessed through dialing 911.
