AUBURN: A COMMUNITY FOR ALL AGES

Auburn is an AARP Certified Age-Friendly Community!

In an effort to make our community more welcoming, more accessible, and more inclusive for people of ALL ages, Auburn has made a commitment to be an "Age-Friendly Community."

According to the AARP:

"An age-friendly world enables people of all ages to actively participate in community activities and treats everyone with respect, regardless of their age. It is a place that makes it easy for older people to stay connected to people that are important to them. And it helps people stay healthy and active even at the oldest ages and provides appropriate support to those who can no longer look after themselves."

Auburn is taking active steps towards becoming more age-friendly. Former Mayor Jason J. Levesque created the Mayor's Ad Hoc Committee for Age-Friendly Community. Learn more about this committee and view their meeting minutes by clicking HERE.

If you plan to rent/use our Senior Community Center, you should consider liability insurance. TULIP (Tenant User Liability Insurance Program) ensures that you are protected from liability for injuries and damage that may occur at your event or activity. Without TULIP, you may be personally responsible for paying claims for bodily injury or property damage. Your homeowner’s insurance may cover some situations, but it may be limited and not all claims will be covered. You can buy insurance through TULIP, a city-sponsored program, or you can purchase a policy through another private insurance carrier.

*Priority will be given to senior-related groups and organizations
