Dear Auburn Residents,
The City of Auburn has begun its city-wide revaluation effort. We are pleased to report that the inspection phase of the revaluation has officially begun. Our revaluation partner, KRT Appraisal has announced their inspection team and will begin property inspections on February 3, 2025.
Prior to inspections, property owners will receive a postcard from KRT appraisal. If your neighborhood is in an active inspection area, you may have received one already.
The KRT “listers” or property inspectors are Cameron Payne and Tyler Young. Their photos and vehicle details can be found on the “Reval Auburn” Hub. REVAL Auburn At times, the City’s Assessing Staff will also be inspecting property. All inspectors will have City of Auburn ID badges and will be wearing safety vests.
Curious where we are working? We have created an inspection map for the public’s use to see what areas of the city are being inspected and when. This map is available to the public on the hub: https://reval-auburn-auburnme.hub.arcgis.com/ You can look-up your address with the search feature, type in your address to see the inspection status.
The first area to be inspected is an area bounded by Court Street to the South, Park Avenue to the West (including Vista Drive), Gamage Avenue to the North and East (also Goff Street to the East). Once inspections are completed in the target area, we will update the online inspection map.
Property inspections are essential for the collection of accurate property data. We wish to reassure residents that the process is meant to be fair and unintrusive as possible. The residents of Auburn can expect to be treated with dignity and respect by the Assessing Division and our partner KRT Appraisal. You have the right to refuse an inspection if you prefer, but please understand that we may be basing your eventual property assessment on incomplete data.
If you have questions, please contact the assessing department 333-6601 ext 1118
