Auburn's Planning and Permitting Department is hosting a Community Conversation this Tuesday August 1, 2023, from 5:30-8:30PM in the community room, second floor of City Hall, 60 Court Street, to deliberate proposed changes to zoning in four different areas of the city. This will be an opportunity to have an informal conversation with staff to learn about this form-based code and its application to different areas in Auburn.
5:30 - 7:00PM: Staff will host a community conversation on changing the zoning overlaying "Area A1", "Area A2" "Area B1 and B2" from the Urban Residence, Multifamily Suburban, Neighborhood Business, Low Density Rural Residence (Rural Residential), and Low-Density Country Residence zoning districts to the Traditional Neighborhood Form Based Code T-4.2B zoning district and Conservation/Open Space district. These changes are generally in the South Main Street, Loring Avenue, Mary Carroll Street, Broad Street, and Vickery Road areas.
7:00 - 8:30PM: We will transition to discussing amending the zoning in "Area C" generally located near Poland, Rodman, Manley and Hotel Roads, and Area "D" generally located near Northern Avenue, North River Road and Bradman Streets from the Urban Residence zoning district, Suburban Residence zoning district, Industrial zoning district, General Business zoning district, Neighborhood Business zoning district and Multifamily Suburban zoning district to the Traditional Neighborhood Form Based Code T-4.2B zoning district.
All are welcome, and we hope to see you there!
